Several months ago, I briefly introduced 10C Coaching & Consulting via video. I was excited and enthusiastic about the revelation that I should work towards coaching and consulting, but I imagine many of you were left with questions. First things first though, let's quickly reintroduce what I shared about my upcoming adventure before I get into the how's and the why's:

Some know my story quite well, while others who follow my work are just getting to know me and what I do. I think it's important that people know my journey before they make their decision: to work with me or not to work with me. What is it that's brought me here today, and why am I "qualified" to even be your coach? First of all, I don't have a PhD at the end of my name, and I probably never will. I have a Bachelors in Social Work, a Minor in Behavioral Sciences and a "Masters" in Life Experiences.
I am just a down-home human here, sooooo if you're looking for someone with the degrees, someone straight-laced or any type of fluff, I'm not your girl. We'll probably laugh during our sessions.....but we'll get things done. Our allotted time might run over, but it'll never run under, and I'll never charge you extra for it. Being laid back always has and always will be my style. If there's one thing I'm proud of in life, it's that I've kept things honest and real with Jesus in the center of it all. I work my jobs from a genuine place, I wrote a sugar-free book from the heart, and when asked a tough question, I tell the truth......even if it's not what you want to hear.
What I believe makes my coaching & consulting unique is my background: As I stated above, I have a Social Work degree. However, while in the workplace and outside of the workplace, I've spent a majority of my time marketing, promoting, networking and writing. BUT.....my life always comes back to counseling, though at this point in my life, I don't see myself being a licensed counselor. Just call me a clinical business gal. I'll get emotional and deep.....and we can share feelings if you're into that.....but I know how to stay on point and how to help you reach that next level in life. I absolutely love psychology and can't live without it, but I don't want to just talk feelings with you - I want to help connect you, provide tools for you and map out a plan with you.
Are you in the process of job interviews and you want to work with me that entire month? Well, I'm here to not only be your cheerleader, but I don't have any problem assisting you with those cover letters and resumes you're sending out to those job prospects. We can also talk interview tips, and heck, I'll probably even end up sending you job postings in the process.
Maybe you're suddenly confused about what you even want anymore? I'm not afraid of a challenge.....
Are you a stay at home mom wanting to do some things for YOU? Do you want to set some new personal goals and have some accountability in your life while you pursue those goals? Do you want someone to help you reach that next level? Let's talk.
Are you an artist that's new to Nashville? Do you need an artist bio, a press release and a little extra promotion? Do you want to know about some entertainment industry resources? Do you simply need some confidence or some branding? Let's talk. I might even be able to introduce you to some cool people along the way. Whether you need an ala carte service, a one time session or ongoing coaching....I'm here for you.
Do you feel unmotivated and worn out from your 9-5? If your job is taking all of your time....leaving zero time for you to be creative and to follow your true passions? Let's have a chat. You know why? I've been there, done that and learned how to manage the time.
Do you simply want some Christ-centered counseling and/or some spiritual encouragement to reach that next level? Yes, I know I said I'm a coach and a consultant, but as I said, I'm still clinical, and I still have counseling in my background. I'm always glad to just talk, talk, talk......as much as you need. I never get tired of listening. :)
Don't want any of this coaching stuff, but you want me to write you one press release? No problem.....shoot me a message.
Maybe you're not convinced just yet. Let me share what's brought me here today, and why I think I can help.....
I wasn't always this person - the person socializing with everyone and starting a business. In fact, I was that shy girl in the corner, who was convinced she wasn't good at much of anything. That's a long story for another day though. So....let's fast forward. I was taught the value of a dollar at a young age. I started working as soon as I was old enough, and that is where my dependability started. From retail to factory to clerical, I've remained loyal wherever I've been placed. I earned my degree in Social Work while taking more than the maximum amount of credit hours and working at the admissions office. I also found time for internships, organizing benefit concerts and food drives, networking, songwriting, counseling whoever needed it and learning as much about the entertainment industry as I could. After college, I continued my University work elsewhere, after doing a stint with door to door sales.......in the middle of the winter. I began with the university as an admissions counselor, transitioned to financial aid and then to retention. While at the university, I continued to work in retail, and then began doing journalism during all of my free hours. I was the associate editor for an entertainment magazine and a top-ranked columnist. When I decided it was time for a new chapter, I went on to the state of TN to be a legal assistant for a pharmacy unit. While working at the state of TN, I've taken on the most of all: I became a published author this past year. I'm also blessed to say I'm a regular contributor for the Portland Leader newspaper and a 3-time Tennessee Press Award Winner (most recently a first place for Local feature writing). I also began doing artist bios, press releases, publicity and blogging. I've also acted, modeled and appeared on various TV shows, radio shows and documentaries, while continuing to write songs.....and most importantly, serving at my church.
Why am I telling you all of this? I'm not telling you these things to brag, but rather to let any potential clients know I've set goals and achieved them. I've managed time, and I've done much of what I set out to do. If I were to hire a coach, I wouldn't want to hire the person who merely sits around dreaming without moving their feet. I'd want someone with both passion and compassion - someone who could connect with the minimum wage laborer just as easily as the CEO. That's who I am. I don't play favorites, and I see value and potential in all people, in all situations.
No matter what your story is....I can guarantee we can relate on some level. Like what you're reading? Here's what I'm offering ALL potential clients:
Let's book a *FREE* NO OBLIGATION 30 minute consultation. When I say free and no obligation...I really mean it. If we talk, and you decide I'm just not what you're looking for.....I'll side with you, and if I have someone else better qualified to serve you in whatever area you're wanting assistance in, I'll even gladly refer you. I'm not above admitting someone else might be a better fit for you. I'm not here to take anyone's money. I'm here to help you get a great return for your investment....but I need YOU to work with me. I can't just hand you a record deal or place you in a job. I'm here to help you set goals, here to hold you accountable, here to help you find the answers that already exist within and here to help you reach your potential.
Sound good? I've barely announced this, and I'm already booking clients. In regards to monthly members, I will only be taking on 3-4 a month as I want to really really invest in those people and help them get a good return. This doesn't mean if I don't have a monthly spot available that we can't possibly fit in a session or that I can't do an ala carte project for you. Just let me know what you're looking for. It isn't too early to get on my list and/or to book that free, no obligation, zero catch consultation.
E-mail me at [email protected] if you'd like to book that consultation or ask me any questions. I look forward to talking with you! :)
